Privacy Policy

YT-Tools is a private, personal YouTube automation and analytics project operated by Timothy McCollim. This policy explains how YT-Tools accesses, uses, stores, shares, retains, and deletes information obtained through Google and YouTube APIs.

Information YT-Tools may access

Depending on the authorized feature, YT-Tools may access:

How information is used

Information is used only to provide the requested YT-Tools functionality for the account owner, including data collection, historical preservation, analysis, reporting, backups, and related YouTube automation.

YT-Tools does not use Google user data for advertising, profiling for advertising, sale, or unrelated commercial purposes.

Storage and security

Project data may be stored in local project-controlled storage and in Google Drive files created or managed by YT-Tools. Automated GitHub Actions jobs may temporarily process data and OAuth credentials in the hosted runner environment for the duration of a workflow run.

OAuth client secrets and token data are treated as sensitive credentials and are not published in the public website repository. Reasonable technical controls are used to limit access to project data and credentials.

Sharing and disclosure

YT-Tools does not sell Google user data and does not share Google user data with third parties for advertising, marketing, data brokerage, or unrelated purposes.

Data may be processed by infrastructure providers used to operate the project, such as Google services and GitHub Actions, solely as needed to provide the requested functionality.

Retention and deletion

Source data may be retained to support historical analysis, reproducibility, backups, and auditability. OAuth tokens are retained only while the authorized connection is needed.

The account owner may revoke Google authorization at any time through the Google Account permissions interface. Project data and stored authorization material can also be deleted from project-controlled storage when no longer needed.

Google API Services User Data Policy

YT-Tools' use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy , including the Limited Use requirements.

Children

YT-Tools is not directed to children and is not offered as a public consumer service.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated as YT-Tools changes. The current version and its revision date will remain available on this page.
